DFSK C-Series
This article discusses the series of light commercial vehicles produced by Dongfeng Sokon. The DFSK C-Series comprises light commercial vehicles, including vans and pickup trucks. The vans were first revealed on September 21, and the pickup trucks followed shortly after. The van lineup includes three models: the C35 (cargo van), C36 (entry-level passenger van), and C37 (passenger van). The pickup truck series consists of four models: the C31 and C51 for single-cab versions, along with the C32 and C52 for double-cab configurations.
Overview
The C-Series models are designed to be more spacious with a longer wheelbase compared to the K-Series and V-Series models. Prices range from RMB 46,900 to 59,800 yuan. The design of the C35, C36, and C37 vans has garnered mixed opinions, with some critics noting that the front fascia and side window graphics bear a strong resemblance to the facelifted third generation Ford Transit.
Van Model Variants
The C35 is a cargo van launched in the second half of . It features steel-sealed windows on the sides and the tailgate and is available in two variants: a traditional panel van with two seats and a crew van with five seats.
The C36 serves as the entry-level passenger van, excluded from several features such as front fog lights, air conditioning, and airbags, and it uses steel wheels instead of alloy. It is available in 5-seater or 7-seater configurations.
The C37 is a mid-level passenger van incorporating all features not present in the C36 variant. It can be configured with 5, 7, 9, or 11 seats, depending on market demand.
The C56, a facelift variant introduced from , showcases a completely redesigned front with horizontal headlamps and grilles.
Pickup Model Variants
Although marketed under the C-Series range, the pickup models feature a distinctly different cab design. Headlamps and grilles are shared with the DFSK K-Series microvans. The single cab model was sold in Taiwan as the Sokon Gold Fulwin, while the crew cab variant was marketed as the Grand Fulwin in the same region.
The C31 is a single-cab pickup truck accommodating up to two passengers.
The C32 features a double cab with four doors and seats up to five passengers.
The C51 and C52 represent enlarged versions of the C31 and C32, providing additional cabin and cargo space.
The D-series heavy-duty variant builds on the C-series pickup, including models D51 and D52.
